This Privacy Policy describes how Bitclone ("we," "us," or "our") handles information in connection with the PDF Scanner mobile application (the "App"). We built PDF Scanner to keep your documents private: your scans are stored on your device and, if you choose, in your own iCloud account. Please read this policy carefully.
Documents you scan, import, or create in PDF Scanner — including the page images, recognized text, folder names, and signatures — are stored locally on your device. We do not upload, view, or have access to the contents of your documents.
Text recognition (OCR), automatic document naming, document-type detection, and language translation are performed on your device using Apple and Google on-device frameworks. The contents of your documents are not sent to us or to any third party for these features (translation may download language models from Google, but your text is processed on-device).
If you enable iCloud backup, PDF Scanner stores encrypted copies of your documents in your own private iCloud account (Apple's CloudKit private database). This data resides in your personal iCloud storage, is protected by your Apple ID, and is not accessible to us. Apple's handling of iCloud data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. You can turn off automatic backup or delete backups at any time within the App.
PDF Scanner does not require an account, and we do not ask for your name, email, or contacts to use the App. However, the following categories of information may be collected automatically by us or by our third-party providers:

We do not collect the text or images of your documents in any of these categories.
The free version of PDF Scanner is supported by ads served through Google AdMob. Depending on your choices and region:
You can change your tracking choice at any time in your device's Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. Premium subscribers do not see ads, and no advertising data is collected for them.

You can revoke any permission at any time in your device settings.
Your documents remain on your device until you delete them. Deleted documents are moved to Recently Deleted and are permanently removed after 30 days, or immediately if you choose. You can delete all documents by removing them in the App or by uninstalling PDF Scanner (uninstalling removes local data; iCloud backups can be deleted from within the App before uninstalling).
Analytics, diagnostic, and advertising data collected by our providers are retained according to their respective policies.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal information, and to object to certain processing or withdraw consent.

PDF Scanner is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.
We rely on the security features of iOS and of your device, and on the encryption and access controls of Apple iCloud, to protect your documents. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect information handled by the App.
Our third-party providers may process data in countries other than your own. Where required, these transfers are subject to appropriate safeguards under applicable law.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide notice within the App. Your continued use of PDF Scanner after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
