DECMAC SOLUTIONS (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the NEET Preparation mobile applications, available on the App Store in English and Hindi (the “App”). This Privacy Policy explains what information the App collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. By downloading, installing or using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Do Not Collect
The App does not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide your name, email address, phone number or any other personal identifier to use its core features. There is no user profile, login or cloud sync tied to your identity.
2. Information Stored Only On Your Device
The following data is created as you use the App and is stored locally on your device only, using Apple’s Core Data framework. It is never transmitted to us or to any third party:
- Your test attempts, scores, accuracy and time-per-question data (Mock Test, Speed Test, Practice and Year-wise tests)
- Questions you mark for review or bookmark
- PDF annotations, highlights and notes you create while reading chapter material
- Your last-read page position within a chapter
- App preferences such as display theme and selected subject
If you delete the App, this locally stored data is permanently deleted with it. We have no ability to access, recover or back up this data on your behalf.
3. Information Collected Automatically
3.1 Analytics & Crash Reporting (Firebase)
We use Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics (Google) to understand how the App is used and to identify and fix crashes. This may include device model, operating system version, app version, app usage events, crash logs and diagnostic data, and a random non-personally-identifying installation identifier. This data is aggregated and is not used to identify you personally. See Firebase’s privacy practices.
3.2 Advertising (Google AdMob)
The free version of the App displays banner, interstitial and rewarded video ads served through Google AdMob. Ad delivery may involve device and app-technical information (device type, OS version, approximate location derived from IP address, language) and ad interaction data such as impressions and clicks.
We do not implement Apple’s App Tracking Transparency framework and we do not intentionally enable cross-app or cross-site tracking via IDFA. Ads are served on a non-personalised/contextual basis to the extent supported by Google’s SDK configuration. Google may still process data in its own capacity for measurement and fraud-prevention purposes. See Google’s advertising policies.
3.3 Subscriptions & Purchases (RevenueCat, Apple App Store)
If you purchase a Premium subscription, the transaction is processed entirely by Apple’s App Store using your Apple ID — we never see or store your payment card details. To manage entitlements we use RevenueCat, which receives an anonymous app-generated identifier (not your name or Apple ID) and purchase/subscription status metadata from Apple. See RevenueCat’s privacy policy. We do not receive or store your name, email or billing address.
4. How We Use Information
- Diagnose and fix bugs and crashes
- Understand feature usage in order to prioritise improvements
- Serve advertising to users of the free tier
- Verify and unlock purchased subscription entitlements
- Comply with legal obligations, if any arise
We do not sell your data. We do not share your locally stored test results, bookmarks or notes with anyone, because that data never leaves your device.
5. Third-Party Services
| Service | Purpose | Privacy policy |
|---|---|---|
| Firebase (Google) | Analytics & crash reporting | firebase.google.com |
| Google AdMob | Advertising | policies.google.com |
| RevenueCat | Subscription management | revenuecat.com |
6. Data Retention
Locally stored data (test history, bookmarks, notes) persists on your device until you delete it or uninstall the App. Analytics and crash data retained by Firebase follows Google’s standard retention periods.
7. Children’s Privacy
The App is intended for students preparing for the NEET examination (typically aged 15 and above) and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information to us, please contact us so that we can address it.
8. Your Choices
- Ads: you can remove advertising entirely by upgrading to Premium.
- Analytics: you may limit ad tracking and analytics collection in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security.
- Local data: you can delete bookmarks, test history and notes from within the App, or remove all data at once by uninstalling the App.
9. Data Security
Locally stored data benefits from standard iOS sandboxing and device-level encryption (when enabled via device passcode or Face ID). Data transmitted to our third-party service providers is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS.
10. International Users
Our third-party service providers may process data on servers located outside your country of residence, including in the United States. By using the App, you consent to this transfer.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
