RK Technology ("we", "us", or "our") operates the mobile application Ncert: Books, Solutions & Note (the "App"), available on the Apple App Store. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

Summary: We collect as little personal data as possible. The App does not require an account, AI features run on-device, and your study content (notes, highlights, bookmarks, flashcards) is stored locally on your device. Limited data is processed by third-party services for advertising (free plan) and subscription management.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information you provide

The App does not require registration, and we do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, or any government identifier to use the App. If you contact us for support by email, we receive the information you choose to send us.

1.2 Information stored on your device

Study data — highlights, underlines, notes, bookmarks, favourites, flashcards, reading progress, and last-opened pages are stored locally on your device.
Preferences — settings such as theme (light/dark) and reading mode are stored locally.

This data never leaves your device unless you delete the App, in which case it is removed along with the App.

1.3 Information collected automatically

Device and usage data — device model, operating system version, app version, crash logs, and general usage statistics may be collected to keep the App stable and improve it.
Advertising data (free plan only) — our advertising partner may collect device identifiers (such as the IDFA, only with your consent via Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt), approximate location derived from IP address, and ad interaction data to serve and measure ads.
Purchase data — if you subscribe to Premium Pro, our subscription partner processes an anonymized App Store transaction identifier to validate and manage your subscription. We never see or store your payment card details; payment is handled entirely by Apple.

2. AI Features and Your Content

"Ask Chapter AI" and AI flashcard generation are powered by on-device Apple Intelligence. Your questions and the textbook content used to answer them are processed on your device. We do not receive, store, or review your AI questions or generated flashcards on any server operated by us.

3. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services, each governed by its own privacy policy:

Google AdMob (advertising on the free plan) — Google Privacy Policy

Apple App Store / StoreKit (payments and downloads) — Apple Privacy Policy

On first launch in applicable regions, a consent form (Google User Messaging Platform) lets you choose whether ads may be personalized. You can decline personalized ads and still use the App with non-personalized ads.

4. How We Use Information

To provide, maintain, and improve the App and its features;
To display advertising that funds the free plan;
To validate and manage Premium Pro subscriptions;
To diagnose crashes and fix bugs;
To respond to your support requests.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your study content for advertising.

5. Children's Privacy

The App is an educational tool suitable for students. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Advertising in the App is configured to comply with applicable children's privacy laws, and personalized advertising requires explicit consent. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information to us, please contact us and we will delete it.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

Study data and preferences live only on your device — deleting the App deletes them. Data held by our third-party partners (e.g., anonymized subscription records, ad interaction data) is retained according to their policies. You may contact us at any time to request deletion of any data we hold about you.

7. Security

We use commercially reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your region, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent (for example, disabling personalized ads in your device settings: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking). To exercise any right, contact us using the details below.

9. International Users

The App is operated from India. If you use the App from another region, you consent to the processing of the limited data described above in accordance with this policy and applicable law.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
